One of the great things about Firefox is that it is extensible, which means that it is easy to add new functionality to it. After having my laptop wiped clean I needed to reinstall all of the extensions that I use. Fortunately I made a list:
Tabbrowser Preferences
This extension gives you more control over how tabs are handled in Firefox.
AdBlock Plus
Allows you to remove ads from web pages that you visit. This cuts out the clutter, and pages load much faster to.
BugMeNot
Auto fills in generic user names and passwords for sites that require a free logon, such as the New York Times.
IE Tab
Some sites just wonÂt open in anything other than Internet Explorer. Rather than open a second browser this tool lets you open IE in a tab within Firefox.
Tab X
Put a close tab button on each tab, instead of the default single button that closes the in focus tab.
StumbleUpon
Takes you to a random website that matches your interests.
Download Manager Tweak
Turns the download window into a tab and gives you more information and control.
